Border guard of USSR
A large part of the museum is dedicated to the Soviet period in the history of Saaremmaa. The island was a strict forbidden border zone during that time. For local residents to go and catch fish in the direction of Gotland was very problematic. Pictured here is a dummy of severe Soviet border guard with his faithful border dog.
