Western wall

The western wall of Bolshoi Boyarshij town is on the picture. This extraordinarily high wall is disposed just opposite the Long Hermann - watch tower of Narva fortress. That tower was erected in 1535 as observation point for reconnaissance of fortress Ivangorod. It was mediaeval armaments race - Livonians overbuilt the tower and Russians - the wall.
