Prison cell where in 1577 well-known Swedish King Erik XIV was imprisoned. He has gone mad and was overthrown by his brother Johan II and was placed at first to the Abo Castle. After discovering plotting an escape with the help of Russian tzar Ivan IV the Terrible, Erik XIV was transferred to Kastelholm and after that to the Västerås castle, where within couple of years has been poisoned bypea soup with arsenic.
