Russian grenadier

Big hall with these two charming mannequins is devoted to events of Northern War in 1719. I think - it's a key of the exposition. Grenadier of Russian Preobrazenskiy regiment with hand mortars over his shoulder is seen on the picture. He have a hand grenade with sparkles and sizzles in his hand. He is grimy, unshaven, unkind, his uniform is all in clay and mud, and under his feet the burnt ashes of Swedish peace settlement is seen. Expressive composition...
