From Gothenburg further you need to get directly to the glorious city of Marstrand. The easiest way to do it get the bus from the central bus station in Gothenburg (about one hour trip - 40 rms distance). In the off-season there are less direct buses, but you can go with a change in the glorious city of Kungalv, to whose ride is about 18 km.

Arriving in Marstrand you should get the municipal ferry and cross to Mastrandsen island, where the glorious fortress of Carlsten is, the goal of our journey. The ferry is free for pedestrians.

There is 10 minutes walk from pier to the Carlsten fortress.
