Island fortification

There are rich fortifications on the island of Kivema, because the Fiskar Archipelago has a great strategic importance, it is located at the entrance to the so-called skerry fairway running further west along the Finnish coast. The picture shows a trench carved into the rocks and a machine-gun cell.
