Guarding the state borders ...

The battery was in service from 1976 to 2000, after that it was deactivated. Two turret of the battery were scrapped, and the entrances to their blocks were sealed. The same fate got the main fire-post, as well as bunkers of radar and rangefinder station. This turret is now the only one in Sweden of this type and it was decided to leave it as a monument of the Cold War...
