Remains of staff equipment are on the photo. The plotting operators work here, silently moving miniatures of enemies planes and ships on the plotting board.
In 1939 all Finland coastal line (1600 km) was separated on 10 defence sectors (Rannikkolohko or Lohko). Sector was organic unit with commander in the rank of colonel as rule. Commander of Helsinki sector was colonel V. Marjanen. The sectors consisted with subsectors (Alalohko) and subsectors - defence zones(Vartioalue). So called forts (Linnake) were created on the most important areas. Forts consisted with batteries (Rannikkopatteri).
