This is the tiny island in few miles southward of Finland's capital. It has unique 12 inhes twin guns turret. The guns are in full tactical efficiency. The artillery museum was established here early 1990-th but military holds their presence till now and there is only one day in the year foreigners permits to visit the mysterious island...
There is the deserted and unpresentable bunker in Sveaborg (Suomenlinna) fortress, which was used as command point of coastal artillery of Helsinki sector during the WW2. I believe it was a strong desired information about this bunker for Soviet secrecy service in 1941. I have separate section of Sveaborg on my site, but the subject comes under coastal artillery...
There is one more little, but interesting island mile eastward from Kuivasaari island with abundance of the fortifications, artillery emplacements and guns up to 12 inches caliber. Military presence started here in 1909 and lasts till nowadays, so it will be hard deal to get here for civilians (and foreigners especially). But nevertheless...
This is the considerable big island 5 km northward from Isosaari. It has the long and rich military history too and number of artillery emplacements of the old days - from Crimea war to WW2 times. It is restricted zone because there are many military units on the island and, by the way, School of Coastal Artillery founded in 1969 in their number...
Russarö situated few miles southward of well known Hanko cape. This island has the famous beacon - so called "Eye of Hanko". It has numerous artillery emplacements up to 9.2 inches caliber. It is in restricted zone too because of principal approach in Finland - most interesting artillery and fortifications are in restricted zones as rule...

Considerable and remarkable island of divine nature to the west of Primorsk (Koivisto) town. There are quite a big deal of coastal artillery and old fortifications of WWI and WWII. But it is in the restricted border zone too.
There is a curious place with some coastal artillery artifacts of various origin not far to the west from Ino fort. It is a good place for shooting to the sea side and for spa cottage's construction so now the place is fenced and restricted for visits.
