Moat and semi-bastion Gyldenløve (1665-1666)

Moat and semi-bastion Gyldenløve (1665-1666) - FredrikstadNext photo - 98 kb

This bastion is named after the son of Frederick III Ulrik Fredrik Gyldenløve, who was the ruler of Norway. The bastion itself is hidden behind the trees on the left. The cannon on the neighboring bastion shoots flanking fire through the ditch in front of the curtain wall and the face of Gyldenløve right up to the river, which this picture clearly shows.
