Envelope's casemates
In the early 1900s the situation worsened in Norway, the popular unrest began, also nationalist agitation and other hostile machinations against the Swedish-Norwegian unity spread. Because of that modernization was held in the fortress in 1901, new barbed wire entanglements, MG-emplacements, concrete shelters was constructed and big caliber new French guns were installed in Citadel.
