Varvara the sutler

Varvara Schantin 1870-1941. A wonderful stainless steel monument. It was built with the money of graduates of the Cadet school, for whom Vatvara was a valuable 'tactical adviser' - for many years every day she came to school, as well as to the places of maneuvers and field classes with a constant cart with her pies. She knew the location of all the trenches and machine gun nests at the training ground and often prompted students the necessary tactical decisions. She was buried in the Orthodox cemetery in Hamin. The monument was erected in 1972
