French-made 90 K/77 caliber 90 mm field gun model of the 1870s was used during the First World War (or even the Franco-Prussian War). There are no recoil devices, but - at the distance of 8 km. a shell of 8.4 kg weight could be shot somehow. France donated about a hundred of these guns to Finland in 1943.
