An 18th-century muzzle-loading gun in the cardegardia gallery

A smoothbore cast-iron field gun of the 18th century on a field mount is seen. It is a Russian gun, 12 pounders. It is chained tightly to a bracket embedded in the pavement, just in case, I suppose.
