Open 12-inch battery

Open 12-inch battery - Fort InoNext photo - 108 kb

There is another impressive installation of WWI times on the Ino fort. The batter has named 'open' because it's guns were installed in open emplacements. It was undermined two times. The battery was blown up by Bolsheviks 14 May, 1918 at first and then by Finns in 1921 because of conditions of Tarty Peace Treatment of 1920. You can see the titanic rear wall of the installation on the photo.
