Underground Masonic grotto

Soon after the opening of the catacombs, a German religious sect settled here, which began to live in them constantly and wait for the End of the world. Local powers managed to get them out of here with great difficulty with the help of the German consul.
Since the late 1860s, this cave has been chosen for their meetings by Freemasons, which connect their history with King Solomon, who, they believe, was their first master. Since that times they hold their ceremonies in the caves once a year and no one else is allowed into the caves in this day.
