The hole of the German shell on the wall of the bell tower is seen. Germans did not shell to Lutheran churches as rule, but there was a different case. There is the excellent view to the vicinities from the bell tower. Artillery spotters from Soviet 365 artillery division (122 and 152 mm howitzers) recognized that fast and used the bell tower for artillery spotting.
