Holy Cross Church in Staraya Ladoga

Interiors of the Holy Cross Church. Everything here is new, no antiquities at all. And where do they come from, the monastery was restored in its rights here only in 2005. Although the institution itself is a quite ancient, the first mention of it dates back to 1500. The monastery is famous for the fact that Peter I kept here in captivity his crowned wife Evdokia Lopukhina.
