Latrun's vaults

Latrun's vaults - Fort Latrun next photo - 108 kb

Professionally executed masonry are seen below moro rough vaults. It is seems to be an European work of the first third of the 12th century. Apparently this is the bottom floor of the main square tower of old Crusaders fortress. This tower had the height of 14 meters, and the thickness of the walls - up to 3 meters. The proof that this is the main tower, is the fatc that we are now at the highest point of the hill and donjosn used to build at highest points.
