Sj-5. Ruins of the western casemate

Only after sending in fight the reserves (infantry regiment) there was possible to knock out Finns from the trenches and blocked the western casemate. The two tons of trotyl explosive was laid on its roof and casemate was blown up. Finns retreated to the east part of pillbox, barricaded steel doors and continued resistance. The bloody fight lasted till four o'clock at night then last defenders abandoned the pillbox. The Soviet sappers began to prepare for undermine east casemate at once.
