This pillbox was a key-point in local system of defense and was stormed by Russians persistently and regardless of losses. At last, during the "second Voroshilov's offensive" February, 1-15 after many days exhausting attacks and bombardments, it became possible to block embrasures of casemates by tanks and brought up 1.5 tons of an explosive on the roof of pillbox and made this hole. But the pillbox remained alive nevertheless. Finns left it after Russians break-through the main defense line in Summajarve area.
