General view of the fort from the ice of Gulf of Finland. This fort is similar to the fort Obruchev on it's architecture and armament. It's construction began in 1907 and fort was put into the ranks just before WWI in 1913. The fort was called in the name of Count Eduard Totleben, well known Russian fortification engineer and head of Engineering Department of Defence Ministry of Russian Empire.
