Torpedo battery

The second most important military facility of Oscarsborg fortress with Main Battery was the secret torpedo battery. It was built in 1898-1901. Torpedo tubes are under water in the rock mass on the left. Battery firepost is seen on the foreground and workshop - on the background. There were only two such batteries in the Norway, the second one was installed on the fort Kvarven near Bergen.
