Shaft

The view downwards to the shaft. All iron constructions and gun itself has been scarped long ago. Engineer German Pauker (1822—1889) was the author and constructor of this battery. He worked with Totleben in 1860-th in Kronstadt. Also he was author of classic textbook of structural mechanics and constructor of revolving tower of big refractor for Pulkovo observatory and many other constructions.
