Prison's window

The longest term of punishment of this jail is 38 years. Major of Polish army Valerian Lukasinski was condemned for the life imprisonment in 1830. He died in the fortress in 1868 and was buried without headstone on the island outside of fortress. He was the organizer and leader of secret society of emancipation of Poland.
