The inscription on the granite coast says: "Ivan Vodonjin, May, 1830". It is hard to say who was that Ivan; however, it is possible to assume that he was a russian serviceman, most likely low ranks. They always liked such sorts of inscriptions.
*DMB-MM.YY - this means that this serviceman was demobilized that year (rus. military slang).
