The brick building with a chimney is called Levyhalli. It was built in 1917 as a machine shop, machine room and pump room, pumping water out of the dock. The building is also notable for the fact that in 1921-36 it housed the first state aircraft factory in independent Finland. Today the building is used by 'Viaporin telakka', an organization engaged in the repair and construction of wooden ships. At the end of the dock you can see a slipway for lowering/raising ships, and on the right is the so-called 'botardo', which I'll tell you about a little later...
