King Oscar II

Fort was named after the King of Sweden, Oscar II of the Bernadotte dynasty (1872-1907). He was the last Swedish king of Norway, so there are also some interesting forts of his name in Norway (Oscarsborg in Oslo-fjord). On the picture the sign above the entrance to the Lower battery is represented.
