Cemetery in Gravdal

Gravdal is a small town on the east side of Mount Kvarven. At the local cemetery there is a mass grave of Soviet POWs who were executed by Nazis the 10th November 1944. Captain Yakushev N.A. 1911, Lieutenant Kiselev D.I. 1921, Lieutenant Grishin G.G. 1915, Petty Officer Chkalov I.I. 1915, Petty Officer Turco I.A. 1917... 133 Soviet prisoners of war, including 75 names and 58 unknown are buried in this cemetery (full list of Soviet POWs).
