Obvodny (Bypass) Canal

The Canal was arranged around the New Admiralty in 1780 for preventing trespass of thieves to Admiralty territory and for transportation. It has 3 km long and special pools for turning cargo barges arranged at the corners of the Canal. Corps of 5th Provision magazine built in 1845-1851 is seen on opposite bank of the Canal. Then on the right Coal magazine is seen. In the very old times times poor people can get fresh water only from this Canal...
