Pilot's house

Pilot's house - Sveaborg next photo - 74 kb

Residential building built for the pilots and their families in the mid-1870s is on the photo. Swimming in the local archipelago always been a very difficult and the Russian Imperial Navy could not do without local pilots in any way, although Russian tried to do it. There were plans to occupy these places by the Cossacks or the so called Old Believers from deep Russia, they say they are teetotal and law-abiding people. Nothing came from that and was necessary to build good relationships with the local pilots.
