
Once upon a time, such towers stood on Fort Milyutin, and now you can see them with your own eyes only here. They were designed by Britain engineer Cooper Coles in 1760. Fort Milutin was equipped with 6 such turrets, each weighing more than 500 tons, with two 11-inch guns. Naturally, the towers were not made of wood at all. Their walls were made of two layers of armor with a wooden teak pad in between.
