
This is how the British called this Russian invention during the Eastern War (1853–1856). The picture shows a full-size galvanic impact mine (on the left), and next to it is a training model of a spherical-conical mine of the Engineering Department (Hertz mine). Both devices are Russian of the 1877 model. There is also seen an icon "do not touch with your hands", especially for the fuse.
