Cast-iron pavements of Kronstadt

In the 1860s, about 3 km of pavements were laid in Kronstadt from such cast-iron plates according to the models of pavements in Boston, Detroit and Chicagoby the project of the engineer Knapp. These pavements served without repair until 1941, when they were dismantled for the manufacture of anti-tank mines.
