Casemate's frontal wall

The frontal walls of the casemates were covered with granite blocks. The bricked gun's embrasure is seen in the center of the wall. Later 1870-th the fort was rearmed with new guns of 1877 model which could not be placed in these casemates, and they have been reconstructed as warehouses and the frontal walls were covered by earth banquettes.
