
In 1905-6, when the fort was already taken out of the state, it served as a place of executions by the sentences of military field and military district courts. In September 1906, 19 sailors and soldiers — participants in the Kronstadt uprising of August of the same year were shot here. The fort also served as a storage place for collapsible gallows for executions on Lisiy Nos Cape (so called 'Stolypin ties').
