'Kosnye' batteries of Kronstadt fortress

These concrete batteries were built in the 1910s. They are so named because of their location on the Kronstadt Spit a little east of Fort Shanets. Until recently, the batteries were a military facility and completely inaccessible, but this has changed, and now they are open to the public and even partially museumized.
